EHEDG president visits ACO
EHEDG President, Knuth Lorenzen, has visited the Pribyslav-based head office and factory of ACO - one of the world’s leading commercial drainage specialists.
During the visit, made in early March, Mr Lorenzen received a guided tour of ACO’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and also met with senior representatives of ACO China who are helping EHEDG to establish a new EHEDG Regional Section in that country.
Jan Cisek, Managing Director of ACO Industries k.s., comments: “EHEDG is an invaluable source of best practice guidance and a force for good within the food industry. Knuth Lorenzen’s visit and our involvement with the creation of an EHEDG Regional Section in China reflects the strength of ACO’s relationship with EHEDG and our ongoing commitment to driving improvements in hygienic engineering standards across the food manufacturing and processing sectors. We look forward to supporting Mr Lorenzen and his team over the coming months.”
ACO was the first drainage manufacturer to become a member of EHEDG. The company also played a key role in the creation of two new EHEDG Regional Chapters in Europe and its Technical Director authored “The Hygienic Design of Floor Drainage Components” chapter of the EHEDG Yearbook (2013/2014). Recently, ACO also helped the creation of EHEDG guidance document ‘Doc 44’ and, in conjunction with other food industry experts, played a key role in its development.
The company’s collaborative relationship with EHEDG is a core part of its HygieneFirst philosophy – an approach to hygienic drainage design that embodies its commitment to raising standards across every part of the hygienic drainage process from design and installation through to cleaning and ongoing maintenance.
